Proper deep breathing improves over all health. It lowers blood pressure and relieves stress. It improves circulation and increases metabolism. Just Breathe brings mindfulness to this largely unconscious activity and uses the breath to focus the mind and deepen meditation.

They experience stress in their daily lives too and this class will give them tools to respond to the ups and downs of life in a healthier way. This 30 minute class is designed for kids primarily ages 6-10 years old. It focuses on introducing children to the fundamentals of mindfulness. Age appropriate exercises involving the breath, sound, emotional awareness as well as mindful movement will be taught. Parents stay in the room through out the class and are encouraged to practice along with their children. Both parent and child must register but only one fee is charged.
So you've heard the buzz about meditation and mindfulness but what is it really? Well, this class is for you - the beginner. We will explain what mindfulness meditation is in clear, straightforward, simple terms. You will have an opportunity to ask all your questions (there are no dumb questions, just those that aren't asked) and actually meditate. We take the mystery away from this ancient practice and answer some of the most common questions like "am I doing it right?" (yes). This class is well suited for the first timer, anyone that considers themselves a beginner, and anyone that would just like to know a bit more about the fundamentals of the practice. Topics will vary and everyone is welcome. There may be a bit more teaching than meditating in this class compared to some others.
Our signature class is 45 minutes and suits the first time meditator or the experienced practitioner. Push pause at the door and let our experienced guides help you learn to be present in moment. This class is a bit of a mash-up of modalities such as breath, body scan, compassion and mindfulness. Just Meditate gives you tools to not just get through your day but improve your day and your life.
The pace of modern life continues to increase. Distractions abound. Multiple gadgets clamor for our attention. It seems difficult to hold our mind on anything for more than a few seconds. Yet, just as a photographer cannot take a clear picture without holding the camera steady, we cannot hope to see and understand anything clearly if we cannot hold our mind steadily on one object at a time. In this class, we'll practice the ancient art of mindfulness to train our mind to stay where we put it as long as we want until we decide to move it. Through this practice, we can develop greater stability, clarity, and strength of mind, allowing us to focus uninterruptedly -- be it on the task at hand or on the person speaking to us at any moment.
Sticks and stones. They're only words. But, they can hurt. We use words to interpret and connect with the world around us. We can also fall into habits that subconsciously let words dictate our feelings about ourselves and others. Re-empowering our words through affirmation and contemplation can transform them into meaningful and authentic expressions, while showing us the way to our own inherent wisdom. This class is about using words as the focus of our meditation practice.
This class is Just for You. A self-care based meditation session that aims to bring attention to our own lives and to focus the care we so often give to other persons, places and things to ourselves.
Through traditional mindfulness practices such as breath, body, sound and emotional awareness coupled with affirmations, reflections, and forgiveness practices, this session aims to help YOU in recognizing YOUR own needs. It uses various mindfulness practices as a way of addressing and fulfilling them. You know what they say…you have to take care of yourself first before you can help someone else.
